  • Presentation recordings are being uploaded to the OpenStreetMap US YouTube channel in batches over the next few weeks thanks to support and expertise from Project Geospatial. Subscribe to know when new sessions are uploaded.

  • You can read reflections and experiences from fellow SOTMUS attendees in their own words. Feye Andal shared her first SOTMUS experience in this blog post. Navjyot Sandhu and Edoardo Neerhut from Mapillary recapped their time at SOTMUS here. Stephanie May from Stamen shared her SOTMUS experience, including an overview of their talks. And finally, an encouraging outcome from the conference is the creation of MapRVA,  a fledgling meetup where Mapping & OpenStreetMap enthusiasts from the Richmond area meet to share tagging advice, hatch mapping plans, and chat about mapping projects in general. You can join the #local-RVA channel on the OSM US Slack to follow their work.

The 11th State of the Map US conference took place at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

The annual State of the Map US conference is the largest gathering of OpenStreetMap community members from across the country. Come meet the people who create, analyze, and use OpenStreetMap with several days of talks, workshops, and social events. It’s the best party in mapping.
